Publications

I served as a Public Affairs Team Lead for the Wisconsin Army National Guard since 2015, where I prepared and disseminated news releases, conducted media training, and developed communication strategies. I also conducted research and policy work as a member of the Pregnancy and Postpartum Working Group, advocating for lactation and medical resources for new mothers and partnering with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business to research the impact of postpartum policies on gender-equity.

 Additionally, I served as an on-site Public Affairs Lead for international military projects in Papua New Guinea and France, and as a Project Officer in Morocco, coordinating with multinational groups to provide media coverage of military training exercises and ensuring safe passage for military photojournalists overseas. Finally, I have deployed with the Wisconsin National Guard in support of Hurricane Irma, storm recovery operations, state and federal elections, and COVID-19 and emergency response efforts, developing communication strategies to reach underserved populations and increase access to vaccines and medical care.
